New Additions to my Reading List for Healthcare Marketers

I recently picked up a couple of new books that I plan to read on an airplane in the next week or two. Both books came from speakers at the 2017 Connected Health Conference in Boston. I was lucky enough to have the authors sign my copies of their books.

The first book is The New Mobile Age: How Technology will Extend The Healthspan and Optimize the Lifespan. It’s written by Joe Kvedar, MD, the author of The Internet of Healthy Things – one of my favorite books from last year. In fact, I sent nearly 50 copies to friends and clients as holiday presents last year. Joe is vice president, Connected Health, Partners HealthCare in Boston. He has been instrumental in creating a new model of healthcare delivery that integrates care into the life of the patient.

The second book is Ending Aging: The Rejuvenation Breakthroughs That Could Reverse Human Aging in Our Lifetime. It was written by Aubrey de Grey, Ph.D. with Michael Rae. I don’t know how to describe Aubrey de Grey. He is chairman and chief science officer of the Methuselah Foundation and editor-in-chief of Rejuvenation Research. I’ve seen Dr. de Grey present at conferences and the man has an amazing mind. He is asking important questions about aging, and bases his work on solid research.

Those are two of the books I’m carrying around with me in the hope that I will find time to read them. I’d love to hear what you are reading.
