For those of us who work in healthcare marketing and communications in New England, I thought I’d shoot out a reminder that the early deadline for the Lamplighter Awards is rapidly approaching. The Lamplighter Awards is an annual competition produced by the New England Society for Healthcare Communications (NESHCo). It recognizes the best advertising, marketing, and PR work by healthcare organizations in the region. (In the spirit of full disclosure, I recently became the president of NESHCo.)
The Lamplighters competition is unique and perhaps more meaningful than other competitions because it is not a beauty contest. Each entry is judged based on the results that are documented in the award submission. There are some creative categories where the judges evaluate the quality of these entries based on their creative achievement and not solely on actual results/sales/volume increases. In these cases, the judges will focus on the visual appeal of the piece and its relevance to the target audience.

Early Bird Deadline Monday, January 27 at 11:59 p.m.
Members: $85 Non-Members: $115
Deadline Monday, February 10 at 11:59 p.m.
Members: $110 Non-Members: $140
Final Deadline Monday, February 17 at 11:59 p.m.
Members: $135 Non-Members: $165
