This Monday I have my final speaking engagement of the year! I’m speaking at the South Carolina Home Care and Hospice Association in Charleston, SC. My topic is Bolstering Staff Retention and Recruitment with Internal Branding. I plan to share several case studies that showcase efforts to improve recruitment and retention of physicians, nurses, and staff using brand communications. One of the points I will make it that by openly celebrating your people and your organization’s culture, you create a welcoming vibe for potential new hires who are researching your company. At the same time, you create an environment where employees feel valued.
This speaking engagement will kick off a crazy week where I’m in Charleston on Sunday afternoon and Monday. Tuesday morning I fly to Boston for a day of meetings. Wednesday morning I fly from Boston to Reno, NV for a video shoot. Finally, I’ll fly home on Saturday morning.
The good news is that I love Charleston and plan to have dinner with my daughter on Sunday night while I’m there. She is a senior at the College of Charleston and is dealing with final exams at the moment. Classes for this semester ended on Monday. Hopefully, she will have time for a quick dinner at one of our favorite spots.
This is an incredibly busy December. 2019 has been a blur. I look forward to seeing what 2020 has in store for all of us!
