The Healthcare and IT Marketing Community‘s annual conference (#HITMC) exceeded my expectations, as it does every year. My friends John Lynn and Colin Hung do such an extraordinary job and go to great lengths to create a sense of community; it is palpable. Over the last three days in Boston, I got to connect with so many friends and colleagues from around the country. Just when I thought the conference couldn’t get any better, my friend Janae Sharp (@CoherenceMed) arrived with her 5-month-old, Naveen (@NaveenBabyBob) – Yes, Naveen has his own Twitter feed. He is also the cutest baby on the planet. I spent most of lunch today palying peekaboo with him at Legal Test Kitchen. And then, to top it all off, on the last day of the conference my firm’s work was recognized with a HITMC Award for the best overall marketing program. The winning work was our thought leadership content marketing program for Renown Health. (Shoutout to our partners at Renown Health and their CEO, Dr. Tony Slonim.) And, last but not least, my clients from Spectrum Healthcare Partners in Maine won the HITMC Award for best marketing team! It really doesn’t get any better than that.
I’ve come to expect an abundance of Twitter activity during the #HITMC Conference; that was true again this year. Over the three days of the conference, 468 people Tweeted using the #HITMC hashtag generating 3,232 Tweets, and 15.7 million impressions! Within this post, I’ve shared graphics from Symplur including data on the Twitter influencers from the conference. Check out the lists. These are people well worth following if you have an interest in healthcare marketing or health IT.
My thanks to Colin and John for hosting such a terrific event. Here are the numbers:
