The Role of Video in Content Marketing

For the last year and a half, we have been working with Renown Health on an extensive content marketing program that features Renown’s leadership. One element of that program has involved the production of video content featuring the institution’s two amazing chief nursing officers (Jen and Melodie). As you’ll see in the videos below, the CNOs are exceptional spokespeople for Renown. Their videos are shared on social media, appear on the organization’s nursing blog, are vital in the nurse recruitment effort. I will add that they are far more effective than a simple brochure, recruitment ad, direct mail piece or website copy.

The videos tell the story of Renown’s nursing philosophy and commitment to its nursing staff. They are compelling and relatable. To produce the videos, we spent two hours interviewing Renown’s CNOs and walked away with enough content to create 16 video blog posts. Here are a few of the videos:

  1. Google likes to see unique types of content, such as video – it’ll help the page rank better. On a more personal note, page users also like to see videos on a website. They’ll have an easier time engaging and absorbing your content. This will lead to more conversions.
