Now in its 20th year, the Digital Health Awards recognizes high-quality digital health resources for consumers and health professionals. The award competition is produced by the Health Information Resource Center (HIRC).
For those of you interesting in entering, the submission deadlines are fast approaching. The early deadline is September 7th and the deadline for late entries is September 14th. The basic entry fee is $75 per submission. There are a ton of categories to consider. Also, your entries are judged against those from similarly-sized organizations (Health Systems, Hospital — under 250 beds, Hospital — 250-499 beds, or Hospital — 500+ beds).
Being fully transparent, I have served on the judging panel for the Digital Health Awards (once called the Web Health Awards) for 8 years now; however, I have no financial link to the organization. I participate because I enjoy it. Each year I look forward to spending time going through the various entries. It’s a great opportunity for me to look at digital work that is being done around the country and within different segments of the healthcare industry (pharma, health insurance, hospitals, academic institutions, etc.).
