The first day of the Healthcare Marketing and Physician Strategies Summit was a great success. I thoroughly enjoyed the sessions I attended. At 2:30pm I facilitated a panel on the use of digital communication tools by hospitals and health systems for crisis communication. My panelists were Crista Latham of MD Anderson Cancer Center and Scott Kerbs of Universtiy Medical Center of Southern Nevada. They were terrific. Each told their story (Hurricane Harvey and the recent mass shooting in Las Vegas) and then we took 35 minutes of questions from the audience. It was an incredibly powerful experience to be in the room and hear Crista and Scott share their experiences.

The Twitter activity on day one of the conference was fairly robust. We had 247 unique individuals generate 1,592 Tweets throughout the day using the #HMPS18 hashtag. Overall, the Twitter activity led to 5.66 million potential impressions. All of this data and the charts below are courtesy of Symplur.  I invite you to check out the graphs below.
