Here’s a list of ten people I highly recommend you seek out during the #HITMC Conference in New Orleans. Go up to them and introduce yourself. These are people I respect. Many are close friends. They would all welcome meeting you and sharing their insights. From my perspective, networking with top people in the field is one of the top reasons for attending industry conferences. Although I don’t include myself in the list, I’d love to meet you if you’re attending #HITMC.
Jeff Steblea – Senior Account Executive & Data Strategist at SilverTech. Jeff is one of the presenters this week at #HITMC. He is a rising star in the world of healthcare marketing. Like several of the people on this list, Jeff holds the title of “friend of Dan” – for better or worse. However, Jeff is best know as the husband of Ingrid. @JS_Silvertech
Jared Johnson – #DigitalHealth Top 100 Influencer. Jared is a digital health evangelist, thought leader and the digital marketing manager for Phoenix Children’s Hospital – and one of the presenters this week at #HITMC. He is one of my favorite presenters in the healthcare business. Jared also holds the title of “friend of Dan.” He once gave me a cactus as a gift. It is still growing in my office. @jaredpiano
Kate Gillmer – Digital engagement specialist, Jennings Health. Yes, Kate works with me at Jennings. Don’t hold that against her. She is also a member of the #HCLDR community. She was an early adopter of #HCSM. @kate_gillmer
Colin Hung – Colin is one of the founders and moderators of the #HCLDR Twitter chat. He works with John Lynn of Healthcare Scene and helped produce this conference. He also holds the title of “friend of Dan.” He is one of the genuinely good people in our business. You should know him. @colin_hung
John Lynn – John is founder and editor of Healthcare Scene. The Healthcare Scene network currently consists of 5 blogs containing almost 11,000 articles. He’s also the guy responsible for bringing us this conference. John is the founder of the Healthcare IT Marketing and PR Conference and the Health IT Expo. And he had the good sense to hire my friend Colin Hung! John is all things Health IT. @techguy
Jamie Verkamp – Jamie is an accomplished speaker, author and consultant in the healthcare industry. Off all the presenters this week at #HITMC, Jamie is one of my favorites. Like several of the people on this list, Jamie holds the title of “friend of Dan.” I don’t get to see her nearly enough, so I’m excited she’s participating in this conference. @jamieverkamp
Jill McDonald Halsey – Chief Marketing and Communication Officer at Lawrence General Hospital in Lawrence, Massachusetts. Jill is one of the presenters this week at #HITMC. We serve together on the board of director for the New England Society for Healthcare Communications (NESHCo). Like several of the people on this list, Jill holds the title of “friend of Dan,” whatever that entails. Additionally, she has the distinction of being a client of mine. @Jill_McDonald2
Daniel Quinn – VP of Analytics at LionShare. Daniel oversees the analytic and reporting functions and works with client and technical teams to ensure databases and software are positioned to accomplish marketing and business intelligence objectives. Daniel is an often-sought-after speaker in the healthcare industry, from a marketing, data, and IT perspective. Daniel is one of the presenters this week at #HITMC.
Kelly David – Marketing and Public Relations Director, Spectrum Healthcare Partners. Kelly is a healthcare marketer with extremely high expectations. I respect that. Like several of the people on this list, Kelly holds the title of “friend of Dan.” She also has the special distinction of being a client of mine! @kldavid
Amy Jose – Marketing & PR Operations Partner, Spectrum Healthcare Partners. Amy is a really smart marketer with true grit! She is fierce (a good thing). Like several of the people on this list, Amy holds the title of “friend of Dan.” She also has the special distinction of being a client of mine! @amyjose21
