Yesterday was a great day for learning and sharing. I started the day by presenting at the 2017 Virtual Conference of the New England Society for Healthcare Communications (NESHCo). The half day conference was all about content marketing. I kicked off the conference with my presentation (from my hotel room in Boston) and then quickly made my way to the Connected Health Conference at the Boston World Trade Center (across the street from my hotel).
For the second year in a row, I am blown away by the Connected Health Conference. It is content rich! There are so many sessions, many happening concurrently, that it is impossible to take advantage of everything that looks valuable. It was painful having to choose between competing sessions.
I was also amazed by the range of HealthTech firms exhibiting at the conference. Check out the photos below. Make no mistake, connected health has arrived. It’s a little rough around the edges and still making its way in the world, but it’s here and it’s slowly but surely disrupting the status quo.
The Twitter activity from the Connected Health Conference was fast and furious. To curate the incredible conversation that took place on Twitter, I created a Storify that captures most of the day’s Tweets. Use this link to review the Storify.
Overall, according to Twitter Analytics provided by Symplur, 1,581 unique individuals Tweeted yesterday (10-26-17) using the conference hashtag. Those individuals generated at total of 4,765 Tweets for a potential of 37 million impressions. Those are big numbers!
I’ve also included graphics below giving information on the top influencers on Twitter using the #Connect2Health hashtag. If you’re not already following these individuals and organizations, I recommend you do so! I’m very impressed by this collection of health IT thought leaders and influencers.
