Killer Content: The Why & How of It October 26, 2017 – 9am to 12:30pm
The New England Society for Healthcare Communications is once again holding a virtual conference. It is open to anyone interested – members and non-members. The focus for this year’s conference is content marketing.
Here’s some detail on the various sessions that are scheduled. I’m giving you fair notice that I am the opening presenter at 9am.
Session 1: Moving from Narcissism to Relevance in Healthcare Marketing
Presenter: Dan Dunlop, Jennings Health
I start out by looking at the dark, narcissistic side of content marketing. But in the end, I share my vision of audience-centric content marketing based on the notion of community buiding. This presentation is based on an article I wrote for SHSMD’s Viewpoint – Strategies for Success.
Session 2: Conquering Chronic Content Creation Syndrome: How to Overcome the Increasing Demands for Producing Content
Presenter: Kirsten Lecky, director, sales and marketing, WriterGirl & Associates
Note: I sat in on a workshop that Kirsten led at NESHCo’s 2017 Spring Conference and it was terrific. I fully expect this to be a valuable and insightful presentation. Be prepared to walk away with some great ideas.
Session 3: One Content System to Rule Them All: What is a News Hub?
Presenters: Daniel Small, director, digital strategy, Hartford HealthCare & Julia Balfour, CEO, Julia Balfour, LLC
Note: The team at Hartford Healthcare is doing incredible work. I’ve heard a lot about their News Hub during conversations with their marketing leadership, and fully expect to learn a great deal from this presentation.
