My Amazon Reading List for Healthcare Communicators

KingdomOccasionally I’ll post book reviews or develop book lists on Amazon.com. I started doing this years ago because having this presence on Amazon helped my company be more visible with search engines – enhancing our digital footprint. It seemed like a smart strategy and one that wasn’t difficult to execute. Today, my Amazon activities are more likely to be driven by my desire to share great books that I’ve found.

Lately my reading has been nearly singularly focused on books written by patients or caregivers. The exception to that has been books written by physicians. You’ll note that the top four books on the list have all been featured in this blog: The Cost of Hope (Amanda Bennett), Life Disrupted (Laurie Edwards), In The Kingdom of the Sick (Laurie Edwards) and My Mother, Your Mother (Dennis McCullough). I was fortunate enough to have Laurie Edwards serve on an ePatient Panel that I hosted at the spring conference of the New England Society for Healthcare Communications (NESHCo) in May. She is a terrific voice for patient empowerment!

Here’s the link to my Amazon reading list: Must read books for healthcare marketers.

  1. Thanks for sharing this list Dan. I’ve read only two of these books so I look forward to checking out your other recommendations.
