On last week’s #HCLDR Twitter Chat there was a lot of discussion about practices that will help to make hospitals more patient- and family-friendly. Basically, what can we do to make hospitals into true healing environments? Lots of great ideas were offered up. I love this topic and pointed the group toward a few trends I’ve been following. One of them is the move by a few hospitals to begin offering concierge services to patients. Below are a few of my Tweets that led into the discussion of concierge services (very different from concierge medicine):
Given this is the Healthcare Leaders Chat, I was surprised to see that many in the group were unaware of this level of service being offered by select hospitals. That led me to the thought that I ought to share this in a blog post. Below are some screenshots that showcase concierge services being offered by various hospitals.
First up is Riverview Medical Center, a part of Meridian Health. On their website they introduce their “concierge care” with a video:

Next is Florida Hospital – Altamonte. Not only do they offer concierge services for patients, they also offer them for employees. Remember, happy employees equal a better patient experience!
