“Fearless” TV Campaign from BCBS of North Carolina

Blue Cross Blue Shield of North Carolina recently launched a new TV campaign. It caught my attention so I thought I’d share it here. The campaign contains powerful messaging that directly addresses consumers’ uncertainly at a time when the healthcare landscape is changing:

“Free of worry, Free of fear. Free of uncertainty. Uncover that feeling again because you are protected with the compassion of the cross and the security of the shield.”

“…go back to a time when you were braver than you even knew. You can go there again because you have the power of a card that opens doors in all 50 states.”

  1. Dan, I love where they’re going in terms of message and imagery. I just don’t buy it from BCBS…for me there’s no believability (from any insurer).

  2. These ads are cruelly manipulative. What they are trying to tell you is that you should be very, very afraid if you can’t obtain insurance.

    I think BCBS is pretty safe in the fact that after you pay for your health insurance with them (or any other health insurance company) YOU CAN’T AFFORD to do any of these daring or risky things anyway so there’s not much chance of you filing accident claims with them!!!!!!
