Over the years I’ve developed a great relationship with the folks at Ragan Communications. I write for their Health Care Communications News and usually attend at least one of their conferences each year. Mark Ragan and his team do a really nice job with healthcare communications – particularly healthcare social media.

Coming up on July 23 in Chicago is their Health Care Summit for PR and Marketing Communicators. The theme of the Summit is: Generate buzz, measure your campaigns and create powerful content strategy. It promises to be a great event. Several of the people I most respect in our field will be speaking, including Chris Boyer and Chris Bevolo. Additionally, Thurston Hatcher and Deborah Song from Rush University Medical Center will be speaking on Hospital Social Media, and Karen Trewin of Mayo will address content coordination to amplify your message.

The cost to attend the Summit is $645, and $495 for Ragan members. For that you get deep dish pizza and access to some of the thought leaders in healthcare marketing. I don’t know if Chris Boyer will play his Ukelele, but just the chance of that happening makes it worth a trip to Chicago!
