My Favorite Hospital in Downtown Boston?

image001 It is no secret: Tufts Medical Center is my favorite hospital in downtown Boston. I’m as loyal as the day is long. My firm has worked with Tufts Medical Center and Floating Hospital for Children since 2007 and we love them! So, when they were named Boston’s Most Admired Healthcare Organization in 2012, I celebrated and felt a sense of pride at their much deserved recognition.  The acknowledgement came from readers of Boston Business Journal who voted online for their favorite Boston area businesses.

The thing I hate about these “best of the best” reader polls is that they keep happening. You can never rest on your laurels. As soon as you’ve made it through one cycle, another cycle starts up. That is certainly the case with the competition to be recognized as Boston’s Most Admired Healthcare Organization. The 2013 voting is underway and Tufts Medical Center is once again vying for the title!

If you live in the Boston area, or simply love Tufts Medical Center the way I do, please consider casting a vote for Tufts Medical Center at www.tuftsmedicalcenter.org/vote.

Why Tufts Medical Center? In Boston, the land of medical giants and conglomerates (Partners, Steward), Tufts Medical Center stands out with its clear commitment to high quality, affordable care, and a distributed academic model that works to bring the benefits of academic medicine to patients in their communities, rather than simply pull them into the downtown medical center mothership. Tufts Medical Center is an organization with values that normal people relate to. That’s exactly why they were named Boston’s Most Admired Healthcare Organization in 2012.

Thanks for indulging me! Now I’ll step off my soapbox.
