Not long ago I wrote a post about the launch of Duke Medicine’s new cancer center (The World’s Kindest Cancer Center. Really?). On a recent business trip I noticed ads rotating on a digital display for both the Duke Cancer Center and UNC’s North Carolina Cancer Hospital. The ads were in the baggage claim area at RDU International Airport. I pulled out my flip camera and managed to record both spots. This was particularly easy given they were only separated by a commercial for a local restaurant. Imagine that, two world class cancer centers with commercials running virtually back-to-back at Raleigh Durham International Airport. It gets even more interesting if you try to think about it from the consumer’s perspective. Give it some thought.
