One of the great benefits of attending the annual SHSMD conference is the opportunity to network with colleagues from around the country – both marketing consultants and hospital marketers. Each year I publish a list of people that I recommend meeting while you’re attending the conference. These are people that I know and value. So take a moment, look over the list below, and make a point of seeking out these marketing professionals as you navigate the three days of this year’s conference!

  • Brian Bierbaum, Priority Integrated Marketing
  • Brian Risinger, Carolinas Medical Center
  • Brooke Tyson Hynes, Tufts Medical Center
  • Jessica Levco, Editor of Ragan Health Care Communication News, Ragan.com
  • Vicki Stevens, Appalachian Regional Healthcare System (http://twitter.com/#!/vlsmds)
  • Stephen Moegling, Franklin Street
  • Jim Rattray, Southcoast Health System
  • RC Hill Smith, Reach 3/Medseek
  • Lee Crouch, MedTouch
  • Dana Smith, Spirit of Women (http://twitter.com/MissDanaSmith)

And because I can’t stop at ten, here are some of my industry friends that are well worth getting to know (the usual cast of characters!):

Of course, if you see me wandering around the conference please come up and say hello! You can follow my tweets at http://twitter.com/dandunlop. Look for my blog post tomorrow morning about healthcare marketers to follow on Twitter while attending the SHSMD conference.
