There was a really interesting post in the H&HN Daily last week about Martha Stewart’s relationship with Mount Sinai and it relevance today given all the attention “elder care” is receiving in the media. ABC’s recent series, “Families on the Brink” heightened the level of discussion around the issue of America’s rapidly growing senior population. To her credit, Martha Stewart partnered with Mount Sinai to create the Martha Stewart Center for living – which promotes and facilitates access to health care resources for older adults and works to enhance the public perception of aging. The center includes a wide range of services including a geriatrics practice, palliative care, integrative medicine, education, and access to social workers. They also have a wide range on on-site specialties including cardiology, rheumatology, gastroenterology, endocrinology, and psychiatry.

By the way, if you don’t subscribe to H&HN’s Daily eblast, you may want to consider it. I’ve found it to be a great resource.
