I received a mailing recently promoting the AAMC 2009 Annual Meeting. This year the conference is being held in Boston, one of my favorite cities. The conference will be held November 6 – 11, 2009. If you’ve never attend the Association of American Medical Colleges’ Annual Meeting, I will attest that it is a great opportunity for learning and networking. I was fortunate to be a speaker at one of their conferences a couple of years ago.
This year you’ll join 3,800 of your peers and industry experts for six days of interactive workshops (500), lectures, and events. There will be nearly 1,000 presenters – all experts in their field. This is one of the premier events in the discipline of academic medicine.
There’s a good looking Session on Saturday, November 7 at 2pm in the GIA Marketing Track titled Doing More with Less in the Era of Health Care Reform—Is Your Marketing Strategy Ready? There are both public relations and marketing tracts for communications professionals.
For more information on the conference, go to www.aamc.org/annualmeeting.

Thank you for plugging our presentation! We will soon distribute a benchmarking questionnaire to gather feedback from AMCs and will discuss the results at the session. I look forward to meeting you there.
