The 13th Annual Healthcare Internet Conference takes place November 2-4, 2009 at Caesars Palace, Las Vegas, NV. The conference is presented by the Forum for Healthcare Strategists and sponsored by Greystone.net and Staywell Custom Communications. Attendees will be treated to 30 best-practice case studies, keynote presentations by Mayo Clinic and Sharp HealthCare, session on how to measure results and report ROI, along with sessions on the effective use of social media. For more information on the conference, go to www.healthstrategy.com.
The good news is that the room rates they are publishing for Caesars Palace seem very reasonable. The last conference I attended at Caesars (the CBM conference), I actually stayed right across the street at the Flamingo for $90 a night rather than pay the rates at Caesars.
One speaker of note, Shel Holtz of Holtz Communication & Technology, is well worth seeing. He’s presenting at the luncheon on Tuesday, November 3. I saw Shel speak at the Forum for Customer Based Marketing Strategies in Phoenix a couple of years ago, and he was the highlight of the conference. He spoke about web 2.0 and social media. So if you attend this conference, be sure to sit in on the luncheon on Tuesday.
Lee Aase, manager of syndication and social media at Mayo Clinic, will give the opening talk on “Why Social Media are Essential to the Future of Healthcare Marketing.” That’s one I want to sit in on. Mayo Clinic has been a trail blazer in the area of social media and there’s a lot to be learned from their experience.
