For the next couple of days I will be posting (if all goes according to plan) from the NESHCo conference in Westbrook, Connecticut. This morning I am flying up to Connecticut for the conference. This is a busy day in the world of healthcare marketing. Not only is the NESHCo conference kicking off this afternoon, but HealthLeaders Media is holding their Marketing Awards event in Chicago. At Jennings we were notified that we’re a winner, but I can’t be in two places at one time, so my commitment to speak at the New England Society’s Fall Institute wins out over HealthLeaders.
At the NESHCo Conference there are a few sessions I am really looking forward to attending. The first is a session on new media in marketing presented by Mary Beth Schoening of Women’s New Media. The second is a session on Internet marketing strategies presented by Matthew Dillingham of MedTouch and Kevin Robinson of Southwestern Vermont Medical Center. It is great to see that the New England Society is focusing on these leading edge elements of healthcare marketing. There are also the usual sessions (always needed) on service line marketing and media relations. It looks to be a great conference. And if I’m doing my job, I’ll update you over the next couple of days via posts on this blog.
