Okay, so you’re wandering around the SHSMD conference and there are 1400 other folks doing the same thing. When I attend these conferences, I always have a list in my head of the people I want to make sure I connect with. So, here are a few folks from my list. If you don’t know them, I suggest you seek them out and introduce yourself. Tell them Dan Dunlop sent you. (By the way, please introduce yourself to me while you’re at the conference.) These are really great people and help to make up my personal healthcare marketing network:
- Paul Griffiths, MedTouch
- Peggy Kane, GLC
- Anissa Davenport, University Health Systems
- Linda MacCracken, Thomson Reuters
- Mark Shelley, Lexington Medical Center (Columbia, SC)
- Lee Crouch, MedTouch
- Gabrielle DeTora, Consultant
- Craig Gagnon, The Gagnon Partnership
- Chris Bevolo, Interval
- Dean Browell, Feedback
Just putting this quick list together makes me think I should put together a second list later today. There really are so many sharp marketing professionals to network with whole you’re attending the conference.
First up this morning (Monday, September 13) is a General Session presentation by Dev Patnaik at 9am. Dev is speaking about the power that comes with companies tapping into empathy in order to better connect with the world. Dev believes that the “instinct to care” can become a true source of value for organizations.
