Okay, at this moment my cup runneth over. I am truly overflowing with optimism after spending an hour listening to and laughing with Bert Jacobs. If you don’t know who Bert is, he and his brother founded “Life is Good.”  You know, the company that makes the hats, t-shirts and frisbees. They did $120 million [...]

I’ve arrived at the 2009 SHSMD conference and picked up my registration materials, including the obligatory tote bag. However, this year the tote (sponsored by StayWell  Custom Communications) is an EcoSmart bag! The bags are at least in part made up of recycled plastic beverage and food containers.

Good morning from Orlando, home of the Mouse! Over the next couple of days I will be blogging live from the Society for Healthcare Strategy and Market Development (SHSMD) Conference in Orlando. October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month so the press coverage and publicity around cancer related issues is increasing by the minute. Case in point is Dan Neil’s story in the LA Times this morning (September 22, 2009). The headline read: “Breast cancer ads use lechery for good.” Needless to say, I had to read on.
So [...]

Just recently I learned about an online community called DocWorthy. It’s an online group for doctors, medical groups, and professional advisors. I have to admit that I’m a newbie when it comes to DocWorthy, but it looks interesting.
For an advisor or consultant to join the community, you need to provide  two recommendations written by physician [...]
